Artsy apartment in Sweden

I have to tell you it's mostly impossible for me to resist loving any kind of scandinavian-styled apartment, just like this one, which is located near the lake called Järla in Sweden. This amazingly spacious apartment was designed from a former factory building, a tannery to be percise, and that's the reason why its ceiling height reaches up to 4.4 meters. The similarly huge windows let the apartment be flooded with bright lights and fresh air. The interior design is well constructed and elegantly restrained, the designers handled the colour selection with professional care, and used only a restricted range of colours, mostly based on shades of gray, which brings sophistication and a certain rigor to the apartment's atmosphere. As for functionality, there's definitely enough space for storage, the bedroom has roomy closets and there's even a built-in compartment under the stairs. I especially love that little enclosed terrace with a rocking chair. Such a nice example of urban housing!

Foals

Foals are a five-piece English indie rock band from Oxford, formed in 2005. The band consists of Yannis Philippakis (lead vocals, lead guitar, drums), Jack Bevan (drums, percussion), Jimmy Smith (rhythm guitar, rhodes, synthesizer, backing vocals), Walter Gervers (bass, sampler, percussion, backing vocals) and Edwin Congreave (keyboards, synthesizer, backing vocals). As you can see they use a wide variety of instruments, what assigns a very complex sounding to their music. Their genres are indie rock, alternative rock, art rock, post-rock, experimental rock, and a little bit of alternative indie as well. They've already released 4 studio albums: Antidotes (2008), Total Life Forever (2010), Holy Fire (2013) and their last one is quite fresh, released this year  in August, called What Went Down. You have to listen carefully to hear every little detail of a song. It's beautiful. It was a big deal to designate a single song, so then in the end I chose a song from their last album, called London Thunder. Enjoy!

Back to school 2015: Senior Year

And here we go again. For me this is the very last year of highschool - finally - so I made this post a bit more specialized. As a senior the preferred dress code is slightly more different: you gotta show superiority, maturity and earnestness. No more cutie checked skirts and funky sneakers with pigtail hair. Wear black and white in any quantity, gray, pastels and every colour in dark shades. As regards footwear, I'd advise to own a pair of pantet shoes, leather ankle boots and a fancy slip on in your closet. And of course a nice blazer - or blazers - are by all means essential. Also don't forget to look as phlegmatic as possible and rock those grades like lady. Ideas/inspirations are as usual below. Stay Classy!
